Los Angeles pilot project saved lives

A significant number of African American men were at found at risk during screening effort in Los Angeles. Nearly 500 Black Men were tested for both diabetes and hypertension from Watts to Wiltshire. Some participants were taken immediately to emergency services because of life threatening test results. The DAP Foundation in collaboration with Bayer Pharmaceuticals, 102.3 KJLH FM Radio, Miracle Mile Medical Center, U.C.L.A. and many other supporters, mobilized the Los Angeles community to bring awareness of the real devastation cardiovascular disease is having on the lives of African American Men. read more
